Temporary Traffic Calming near Oxford and Adelaide

What is the problem?

Oxford_St_E___Adelaide_St_N_-_Google_Maps.pngBell Canada needs to do work on one of its manholes in the intersection of Oxford St and Adelaide St. As a result, there will be turning restrictions in the intersection: no left turns in any direction and no right turn from Oxford St to Adelaide heading Westbound. This disruption is expected to last until the first week of September.

Residents are concerned about the high speed of vehicles detouring through the residential neighbourhoods nearby, including Balmoral, St. James, Brant, Elliott, Grosvenor, Elizabeth and McMahen St.

What can I do?

Temporary traffic calming measures are sometimes deployed by the city in residential neighbourhoods impacted by detouring vehicles.

If you support temporary traffic calming measures in this area during Bell Canada's work in the intersection at Oxford St and Adelaide St, please add your name to this petition.
